Learn how to print onto fabric using disperse dyes and the heat press. Mix and create your own colours and use a range of painting and mark making to create your own designs, ready to transfer onto fabric.A﻿bout your tutorEl Riordan is a Textile Designer and Fashion and Textiles Tutor based in West Yorkshire.Her work is inspired and developed from a love of the outdoors and in response to the Norwegian concept of Friluftsliv, which translates as “free air life”. The concept encourages a strong relationship with nature and calls on the importance of spending time outdoors.El uses a range of techniques throughout her work including; screen printing, digital printing, collage, drawing and painting.About the venueSunny Bank Mills is an inspirational cultural destination in the heart of the local community of Farsley, Leeds. Founded in 1829, these glorious Mills are being regenerated by the sixth generation of the family owners, creating a wonderful blend of work, leisure and culture.Course terms and booking conditionsWorkshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.
