Substack Writers’ Meetup

A supportive group for anyone wanting to write a regular Substack newsletter.

This is an opportunity to get to know other local Substack writers and share the joys and challenges of writing online.  The group will meet once a month to share ideas, get feedback, find community, and ask an experienced Substack bestseller for tips and advice.  

The group is coordinated by Kate Jones, a freelance writer, essayist, and Substack mentor, who has been running a successful, bestselling Substack for four years, all without a social media presence. 

Kate will gently guide discussions around idea development and the practicalities of sharing your writing online. She will provide some tips she has learned along the way, and share the joys and challenges of building an online audience for your work. 

Participants will be encouraged to contribute to the discussions and to get feedback on their ideas for their own Substacks. The group’s purpose will be to help members find support and encouragement as they continue to build their own newsletter. 

The Substack Writers’ Meetup is co-ordinated by Kate Jones, a freelance writer, essayist, and creative mentor, publishing in many online journals and in various genres. Holding a Masters in English Studies, she runs the bestselling Substack ‘A Narrative of Their Own,’ where she discusses the literature and lives of literary women.
