Protecting People Dundee - Suicide Prevention

<H2>The Substance Use & Stigma awareness sessions are part of the Recovery Friendly Dundee initiative which aims to tackle stigma surrounding substance use and raise awareness of the links between health inequalities and substance use.</H2>
What can I expect?
These awareness sessions provide a basic introduction to the topic and facilitate a shared learning experience for participants.
The sessions are designed to critically explore the topic with participants and facilitators will use approaches which aim to create debate and discussion.
The session is interactive and participants will be expected to engage in large and small group discussion and activities.
What not to expect

Who are the sessions for?
These sessions are specifically for those who provide a broad range of services in Dundee and the content of the sessions is in line with this focus. We welcome attendance from those out with Dundee but ask that you contact us in advance of making a booking if this is the case.
Who delivers the sessions?
The sessions are delivered by Community Health Workers and Community Health Nurses who are experienced and knowledgable in the field of community health and tackling health inequalities. As well as delivering the training, facilitators bring their own experience of providing health-focused support for individuals and communities.
