Successful Collaboration: Feedback that adds value
Explore how leaders can give and receive feedback with confidence to build trust, creativity and high-performing teams.
The importance of effective feedback in a productive working relationship cannot be overstated. In fast-paced, collaborative environments where teams are constantly adapting, the ability to raise challenges or propose improvements with sensitivity, empathy and confidence is essential to mutual success.
Join us for an engaging session exploring the skills and behaviours leaders need to maximise their impact when giving feedback, while remaining open, receptive and gracious when feedback is offered in return. Together, we will examine how feedback, when done well, creates psychologically safe, respectful environments where collaboration, creativity and innovation can flourish.
This session will be hosted by Harvey Oldershaw, Events Lead for CMI Northeast, Yorkshire and Humberside, in conversation with Sarah Salahuddin, an accomplished senior leader with over 20 years’ experience driving technology and business transformation. As Deputy Chair for CMI-NEYH and DEI Lead, Sarah is a strong advocate for inclusive leadership and psychological safety, with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams that deliver meaningful change.
The conversation will explore:
- The value of feedback as a continuous learning and development tool, rather than something reserved for annual appraisals
- How to create the right conditions for effective, constructive feedback conversations
- How to shift perceptions of feedback to become more open and receptive, and how to give and request feedback that is clear, actionable and helpful
