Still in its original 1806 building, the Portico Library celebrates both the historic and the contemporary culture of Manchester, welcoming the public, researchers and members to its unique 19th-century book collection and 21st-century events and exhibitions.

Eat, drink and listen to music under our majestic dome surrounded by our unique collection of books.

By popular demand we present a summer version of our Christmas Feast. Enjoy a four-course meal under our dome with drinks and company in the summer light. There will be music from The Chanteuse to mark Bastille Day. Doors open at 6pm.More details will be given and any dietary requirements will be taken after booking.
