Summer Solstice

Still in its original 1806 building, the Portico Library celebrates both the historic and the contemporary culture of Manchester, welcoming the public, researchers and members to its unique 19th-century book collection and 21st-century events and exhibitions.

In this final walk-write shop we’ll embrace the solstice to celebrate our spiritual friendship and walking for companionship.

Walking / Writing , Reading / Rambling

The Portico Library is thrilled to welcome Anita Sethi as our Rambler in Residence at the Portico Library from March to June 2023 with an exciting series of radical walks and events exploring protest, the right to roam and who can walk where.

<p>The walks will take place in different parts of (mainly) central Manchester and people. Joining directions will be provided on booking. </p>
