Join us at Friends of the Earth Scotland’s Summer Weekender this August! A three day climate festival, designed to leave you feeling inspired, motivated and connected.
When: Fri 16th - Sun 18th August
Where: Wiston Lodge in Biggar
Who: This event is for anyone interested in being part of a movement for climate justice, no matter your previous experience.
Cost: £10-£40 ( early bird price until 11th July) 
This event will bring together a wide variety of people from across the Scottish climate movement. We will celebrate what we have achieved so far, build connections and alliances with others and plan how to bring about effective and just, transformational change.
There will be a range of workshops around key climate challenges and solutions, skill based sessions for all experience levels, creative performances and workshops, as well as plenty of space to connect with others and spend time in nature.
 TICKETS
Booking essential! Ticket prices include all meals, accommodation and programme activities. Self catering and camping tickets are also available. Please bring extra money along for the bar and tuck shop. All tickets are being heavily subsidised by FoES, with prices ranging from £10 to £40 (rising after the early bird deadline of 11th July). However, we don’t want cost to prevent anyone from attending, so if these prices are prohibitive for you, please get in touch at: kwhitaker@foe.scot
 
ACCOMMODATION
Options include camping in the grounds (bring your own tent) or a bed in the lodge (dormitory-style). Women-only sleeping spaces will be provided. Please let us know where room-sharing is required for guardians and children.
 
ACCESSIBILITY
We have a limited amount of accessible accommodation. We will prioritise accommodating those with access and personal needs in the most suitable accommodation. In order to do this we would be grateful if you could tell us about any access needs or personal requirements when booking. 
 
TRAVEL
You will receive more information about travel options and connections once you have booked. As it is a rural area, bus connections are limited, especially on Sunday. We will be arranging shuttle services to and from Biggar to accommodate this. If you are travelling by car and can offer a space to others, please tell us on the booking form. If you are interested in sharing a lift from someone else, please also mention this when booking.
 
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Our Summer Weekender will be a family-friendly event and children are very welcome to attend. There will be a dedicated children's space, though children will need to be supervised by their carers. There will be environmental workshops focused at children and young people, as well as fun, adventure-based activities.
