Summertime Forest Bathing & Art Workshop

Avon Riding Centre For The DisabledHenbury, England
Saturday, July 4  •  2 PM - 5 PM
Overview

Celebrate the summer in this relaxing Forest Bathing session, followed by a playful clay art workshop!

Forest Bathing can help you to connect with your senses through grounding invitations, helping you to slow down, consider how you are feeling in your body and mind, and consider your place within nature.

We will explore the wonderful woods at The Avon Centre, noticing everything that the summer sun offers us.

The art workshop that follows will give you the opportunity to celebrate the sun and the earth, using clay to craft a candle holder or sun goddess, and participate in a large scale clay painting of the sun!

The workshop is set within the beautiful woodland at The Avon Centre, Bristol. There is a shelter if the weather is awful, but we will be embracing the elements as part of our experience!

Please bring a water bottle, and let me know if any diatry requqinemnts and health condidtions before the session.

Forest therapy has been proven to increase the NK cells needed to fight disease and improve mental health. Many find being in nature, especially amongst trees, helps reduce stress and anxiety. (More info on this on my Forest Therapy page https://www.charlottehawke.co.uk/foresttherapy).

Please wear good footwear, dress accordingly for the weather and bring waterproofs, in case it rains. 2pm - 5pm (3hrs)

How to find The Avon Centre: Car: Use address below. There is plenty of parking.

There is an entrance to the woods opposite the gravel car park. Head down the path- ahead you will see a fenced area with a gate - please meet me inside there.

There are toilets in the main building if you want to use them before the session. Head into the double doors, then take a left down the corridor and it is signposted.
