The Cultural Spring is an exciting, ambitious project to get more people in Sunderland and South Tyneside to experience and be inspired by the arts. We’ve been working with the best local, regional and national artists to ensure our programme really engages, enthuses, entertains and educates the 100,000 people living in our wards.

When: 2nd October 2023Timing: 12pm - 6pmWhere: The Old Rectory, The Broadway, Houghton le Spring DH4 4BBJoin us at one of the venues above to help create artwork for our SunderLight event! You&#x27;ll be making lanterns as well as learning the ancient art of Origami (paper folding) to create a large collaborative piece of art. All ages and abilities are welcome, the workshops are free, and you can stay as long as you like. Refreshments will be provided or an on-site café will be available. This is a wonderful opportunity to get creative in a relaxing and welcoming environment, learn new skills, and meet like-minded people!
