SUNRISE

Described as "One of the finest mixed voice choirs in Kent", the Thanet Chamber Choir consists of approximately 30 members, all of whom are experienced singers. The choir has built a reputation for giving high quality performances and sings a varied repertoire of works, ranging from the Renaissance era (Tallis, Byrd, Victoria and Palestrina) through the Baroque and Romantic periods to living composers such as Chilcott, Lauridsen, Pärt and Whiteacre. We give at least four concerts each year and also perform at Cathedral services, weddings, and other special occasions. Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at The Vale United Reformed Church, Broadstairs.We are an auditioned choir and there is sometimes a waiting list for most voice parts, but we are always keen to hear from prospective new members.
