Join the Inverness chapter of the Feminist Bird Club to explore nature together as the sun sets.
Join us for an inclusive nature walk, and a gentle exploration of the birds of Merkinch Local Nature Reserve. We'll watch the sun set at 7:30, and keep our eyes and ears out for evening nature.
All levels of experience, interest, genders, abilities and ages welcome. Lots of people come on their own, so it's a great place to meet new folk.
We’ll walk around a loop of the nature reserve, mainly on paths but a section is over grass which could be muddy. There is also a section of boardwalk with some steps, but there are alternative step-free routes if needed. The whole walk is approximately 1.5km. There are no streetlights in the nature reserve, but we’ll stick together and should be back at the car park before it is fully dark. Feel free to bring a torch if you would like.
We will have a couple of pairs of binoculars and ID guides to share, but they're not essential.
