SUPA is a pooling of physics research and post-graduate education in 8 Scottish universities: Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot-Watt, St Andrews, Strathclyde and West of Scotland.SUPA, supported by the Scottish Funding Council, is focused on seven research themes: Astronomy & Space Sciences, Condensed Matter & Material Sciences, Energy, Nuclear & Plasma Physics, Particle Physics, Photonics, Physics & Life Sciences.

There is a lift and stairs to this floor. Bathroom facilities including a disabled toilet are available on this floor. We apologise that there is no gender neutral bathroom available.The venue has a number of small spaces that we are allocating as 'quiet rooms' for prayer, parenting, needing to take a meeting, or simply respite from a large room full of people after two years of online! If you need to use one of these rooms, simply find one that is free. There is also a lounge area available with hot drink-making facilities available throughout the day if you need it between refreshment breaks.<h3>COVID-19 precautions</h3>The venue has air conditioning in the main meeting room, with windows that open in all main spaces. If the weather is good, there are roof terraces available during the breaks. Masks will be optional, but we would ask that participants are respectful of those who choose to continue to wear a mask, or those who wear the Scottish Government official '<a href="https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-distance-aware-scheme/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Distance Aware</a>' badge or lanyard.<h2>Image Competition - Please vote!</h2>We would like your help in selecting an image that will be printed on t-shirts, coffee mugs, notebooks or other items. SUPA plans to make items as welcome gifts for incoming students, and may make items available for purchase. The images below were submitted by members of the SUPA community and we appreciate all the contributions.
