<h2>EVENT DETAILS</h2>Timings: 11:30 - 12:30Online EventWe are pleased to announce the launch of the new High Performance Computing Framework to SUPC members. This new standalone framework replaces lot 4 of the SSSNA. The retendered agreement provides a compliant and responsible route for universities to purchase High Performance Computers.Offering a cost-effective procurement option with 7 expert suppliers that have extensive experience in servicing the HE sector. The agreement will run for a 2-year period from 1 September 2025 with a permissible extension through to September 2029 if invoked. The agreement is open to all<a href="https://www.supc.ac.uk/about-us/our-members/our-members" title="https://www.supc.ac.uk/about-us/our-members/our-members" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> SUPC members</a>, as well as those from the following UKUPC consortia: <a href="https://www.hepcw.ac.uk/members/" title="https://www.hepcw.ac.uk/members/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HEPCW</a>, <a href="https://www.lupc.ac.uk/members/our-members" title="https://www.lupc.ac.uk/members/our-members" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">LUPC</a>, <a href="https://www.neupc.ac.uk/join/members/who-are-our-members" title="https://www.neupc.ac.uk/join/members/who-are-our-members" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NEUPC</a>, <a href="https://www.nwupc.ac.uk/members/" title="https://www.nwupc.ac.uk/members/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NWUPC</a> and <a href="http://www.apuc-scot.ac.uk/#!/members" title="http://www.apuc-scot.ac.uk/#!/members" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">APUC</a>.Join us to hear about the benefits of using the High Performance Computing (HPC) Framework Agreement, including how the framework will operate and the benefits of using the framework. Once the framework is in place, individual orders (call-offs) can be made quickly under pre-agreed terms</li><li>Improved SRM – encourages long-term collaboration, which can lead to better service, innovation, and problem-solving. Strategic partnerships are being emphasised more than transactional supplier relationships</li><li>Agreed pricing – pre-negotiated pricing or discount structures can lead to cost savings and easier budgeting</li><li>Better compliance – centralised agreements allow for better control over legal, ethical, and quality standards across multiple purchases</li><li>Expert suppliers – all with vast experience of working with the HE sector</li><li>Framework Levy of 0.5%</li><li>All hardware pricing includes a standard 5-year next business day fix on-site warranty, together with an option to extend the warranty period up to 7 years</li><li>New Call off Contract for Institutions to use as template for contracting with suppliers</li></ul>
