<A HREF="http://www.powerhouseballet.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Powerhouse Ballet</A>'s most ambitious event yet in the great city of Liverpool. A 90 minute company class with<A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-hindle-50116154/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Mark Hindle</A> of KNT Danceworks followed by a 60 minute masterclass with Dutch teacher and choreographer, <A HREF="https://jelterps.blogspot.com/2018/07/yvonne-charlton.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Yvonne Charlton</A> and the first rehearsal of Terry Etheridge's new ballet under the direction of our distinguished ballet mistress Beverley Willsmer. Yvonne is head of ballet at the <A HREF="http://www.josdolstra.nl/pg-24047-7-73435/pagina/home.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Institute of Dance and Movement Jos Dolstra</A> in <A HREF="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IJsselstein" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">IJsselstein</A> (an ancient cathedral city in the province of Utrecht a little under 30 miles from Amsterdam) and has taught there since 1989.   She teaches ballet, including pointe work, and Pilates to adults, children and young people.  She has students at every level of proficiency from absolute beginners to advanced.  She trained at the Nel Roos Ballet Academy which is now the <A HREF="https://www.atd.ahk.nl/en/dance-programmes/national-ballet-academy/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">National Ballet Academy</A> and is accredited in the quality register of the <A HREF="https://www.dansbelang.nl/stores/yvonne-charlton/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dansbelang NBDO</A> and by the Royal Academy of Dance. In addition to her classes at IJsselsrein she arranges two special workshops every year in collaboration with the outreach department of the National Ballet. Each workshop focuses on an extract from a ballet in the company's current season.  A dancer from the company demonstrates the piece and Yvonne helps the attendees master it. Yvonne has also created her own versions of The Nutcracker and Peter and the Wolf for her students in collaboration with the Utrecht symphony orchestra which they perform in December.  She proposes to teach us at least one and if time permits two of her works.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes. Over 18 please.
 
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Z Studios is half a mile from Lime Street station  The 14, 17, 19 and 21 busses run from Queen Square bus station to Gildart Street.
 
What can I bring into the event?
Same as you would for any dance class: leotard or other dancewear and ballet shoes
