Supporting Shorts Premiere Event
Join us for a celebration of the work of TAPE's Supporting Shorts project and the world premieres of the next two films!
Supporting Shorts Premiere Event
TAPE invites you to a landmark screening event at Theatre Colwyn, Colwyn Bay, celebrating the world premiere of two new Supporting Shorts films: Access Denied and The Distorted Man.
Supporting Shorts is a bold, cinema-first initiative redefining who gets to be seen and heard on the big screen. Co-created by people underrepresented in the screen industries, the project places powerful, inclusively made short films directly before feature presentations in cinemas across the UK, where they belong.
The evening will also showcase the first two acclaimed films from the project Race to the Start Line and The Return of Jamie Vincent, followed by a special Q&A with cast and crew from all four productions. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the creative community reshaping the future of film.
Supporting Shorts has already reached more than 500,000 cinemagoers UK-wide and forged meaningful partnerships with major industry leaders including VUE, Odeon, the BFI, the BBC, and NBCUniversal. Together, these partners, and others, are committed to opening doors, building fairer pathways into filmmaking, and championing fresh voices and perspectives that have too often been excluded.
This is more than a screening it’s a celebration of creative inclusion, collaboration, and change.
Join us on Wednesday 11th March at Theatre Colwyn and be part of the movement quietly but meaningfully transforming the UK screen industries.
