This workshop is for parents of children with social communication differences (SCD) or Autism, who are starting Reception Class in September 2025.
Over this 90 minute one off workshop, you will learn practical strategies to support your child’s transition to school, including: How to prepare them for new routines, collaborate with school staff, and use visual supports effectively.
This workshop is designed and led by specialist NHS Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
It is designed for parents who have already attended our targeted social connect groups, (such as the "Understanding SCD workshop" and "Learn and Connect" group) and will build on the material covered in these two courses.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS GROUP IS ONLY FOR TOWER HAMLETS RESIDENTS who's child is starting RECEPTION in SEPTEMBER 2025. If your child is already in Reception or older, or starting Reception in 2026, please do not sign up.
