Surrealism Workshop with Kathy Wray
Explore surrealism through meditation, mark-making and collage.
In a world where intuition leads and imagination takes shape. Inspired by the playful, dream-soaked spirit of Surrealism, this hands-on workshop invites you to explore the subconscious through a series of experimental drawing and collage exercises.
Beginning with a gentle guided meditation to open creative pathways, followed by warm-ups and automatic drawing practices that encourage spontaneity, fluidity, and discovery making .
Working with a variety of papers, textures, colours, paint and layering techniques, you’ll reflect on what emerges and be supported in shaping a style or approach that feels uniquely yours.
With an emphasis on play, possibility, this workshop offers space for artistic risk-taking, reflection and growth.
All materials needed are provided, but you’re encouraged to bring along any imagery, favourite art materials, or inspiring objects you may like to work with.
