We’re Solace. For more than 40 years we’ve supported women and children in London to build safe and strong lives. Futures free from male abuse and violence.We know that women across London are experiencing domestic and sexual violence right now. Some will die as a result. Whatever form violence comes in, from rape and trafficking to relationships based on psychological or financial control, we work to end it.We believe every kind of abuse should be challenged, never tolerated. But we know escaping violence can be the hardest thing to ever do. That’s why it's so important we’re here.We find creative and innovative ways to support thousands of women and children each year from crisis to recovery and independence. But if we want to reach everyone living in fear of violence with our life-saving services, we can’t do it on our own.Stand with us to end violence and abuse now.

Solace Women's Aid

This June, swim...for survivors, for yourself and for Solace! Take part in a sponsored swim challenge completing 35 lengths, minutes or km!

<h3><strong>G﻿et involved</strong></h3><p>J﻿oin us this June to swim for survivors, swim for yourself and swim for Solace. Start your challenge of 35 lengths, 35K or 35 minutes in your local lido or lake and help support women and girls across London.</p><h3><strong>Why 35?</strong></h3><p>Research tells us that Domestic Abuse has more repeat victims than any other crime - on average there will have been 35 assaults before a victim calls the police.</p><p><strong>That’s 35 too many.</strong></p><p>By swimming for us you can raise awareness and funds to help us to support women and girls to recover from abuse through our therapeutic services, refuges, and by creating long -term change through our institutions. </p><h3><strong>For just £20 you can also get your hands on a Solace swim pack, which includes...</strong></h3><ul><li>T﻿ote bag</li><li>E﻿xclusive challenge swim hat </li><li>S﻿olace carry-cup featuring a water-themed design by a child living in our refuges. </li></ul><p><a href="https://www.solacewomensaid.org/get-involved/swim-solace" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Find out more about the challenge here</a> </p><p></p>
