The purpose of the symposium is to provide a forum for researchers, companies and organisations in the Solent region.

About this Event

The Security and Risk Theme at the University of Portsmouth, and the South Coast Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications, would like to invite you to a symposium in remote sensing and satellite applications led by Dr Richard Teeuw.

The purpose of the symposium is to provide a forum for researchers, companies and organisations in the Solent region to meet and discuss possibilities for joint research and collaborative projects.

This action packed event will run from 9 am to 5pm and include keynote talks from The European Space Agency, the Satellite Applications Catapult and Eagle Eye Innovations. A full agenda will be available closer to the time.

The topics presented include risk management, disaster risk reduction, mapping and/monitoring of hazards and at-risk areas, emergency response, community resilience, extraction industry monitoring (oil/gas, mining), (re)insurance, facilities management and infrastructure resilience.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
