Elmslie House

Based on Debussy’s iconic flute solo, ‘Syrinx’, is an immersive experience into the foreign lands of Pan and Syrinx.

Thousands of years ago in Ancient Greece, Pan is yearning for his love, Syrinx, a beautiful nymph known for her chastity. In a bid to hide herself from the amorous God, she transforms into water reeds. In his frustration, Pan slashes the reeds from the ground, unaware that he has killed his true love. He fashions the reeds into panpipes and begins to play…

Based on Debussy’s iconic flute solo, ‘Syrinx’, is an immersive experience into the foreign lands of Pan and Syrinx. Escape into a story book world and experience the magic of the romantic tale, told by flautist, Grace Higgins, with harpist, Nia Evans, and pianist, Stephen Bennett, with the music of Debussy, Mouquet and Alwyn. 
Doors open at 6.45pm and drinks will be available from the bar prior to the performance starting at 7.30pm only, as there will be no interval. Performance will last approx 1 hour.
