Event description

Description

Come and celebrate three years of WebRoots Democracy by attending this year's anniversary event:

take back ctrl: digital democracy, post-brexit

It will be a speaker event followed by a drinks networking session taking place at Newspeak House, the community space for political technologists, in Shoreditch.

After the ground-breaking referendum last June, we will be looking at the future of digital democracy in the UK, setting out WebRoots Democracy's next steps, and bringing together those in the democratic participation and civic tech fields.

Confirmed speakers are:

Areeq Chowdhury - Chief Executive, WebRoots Democracy

Douglas Carswell MP - Founding member of Vote Leave, and author of The End of Politics and the Birth of iDemocracy

Romilly Dennys - Executive Director, Coadec (The Coalition for a Digital Economy)

Further speakers are to be announced.

Spaces are limited and you will need to be on the guestlist in order to attend.
