Overview

Take Care is a new, physically driven play that follows Patrick, an army veteran, whose undiagnosed PTSD threatens his life at home.

Before we begin, sit back in your chair, close your eyes and think about a place that makes you feel happy, safe and relaxed.

BREATHE IN. AND OUT.

Take Care is a new, physically driven play that follows Patrick, an army veteran, whose undiagnosed PTSD threatens the life he has built with his wife Tara and their son Sam.

With physicality, projection and sound design Take Care gives form to the unspeakable struggle of PTSD, how it affects not just the person suffering but those closest to them.

BREATHE IN. AND OUT.

Take Care slips behind closed doors to reveal an ‘ordinary’ family waging a silent war – where past and present collide, and the wounds run too deep for words. Inspired by lived experience and created with care for both performers and audience, Take Care invites you to witness, to feel and to reflect on how unseen traumas can affect the people around you much more than you may think.

BREATHE IN. AND OUT.

Content Warning: Strong themes including: Trauma, PTSD, Mental Health, War and Suicide. Use of Alcohol/Drugs. Strong Language, Flashing Lights, Loud sudden sounds
