This workshop is suitable for third sector organisatons in Kirklees that support people and communities.
In this session you will find out more about the 6 key principles of a trauma-informed approach, illustrated with case study examples from the Welcome Centre . There will also be an opportunity for you to reflect on your own organisation practices and share learning in a supportive environment.

The Welcome Centre in Huddersfield is a one of the largest independent food banks in the UK, they also provide advice, guidance and support to people in financial crisis. The Welcome Centre have recently signed the West Yorkshire Trauma Informed Charter- demonstrating their commitment to embed trauma-informed approaches in how they support service users, Volunteers and staff.

This event is organised by TSL Kirklees - a local charity that gives free support, advice and training to any charity, community group or social enterprise in Kirklees - and is only open to any workers, trustees or volunteers from third sector organisations based or working in Kirklees.
