Performing Medicine is a charitable organisation delivering creative training programmes for healthcare professionals and students. We address staff wellbeing, compassionate care, effective communication, leadership and teamwork.Our practical, hands-on workshops are delivered by expert facilitators who draw on techniques from the arts to help healthcare professionals to use their bodies and voices for effective communication, and to better look after themselves and each other.With 15+ years of experience, our courses are accessible to all who work within healthcare.Our training focuses on the human side of care, addressing the sector’s most pressing issues.

Essential skills for looking after yourself, your team and your patients

St George's, Bloomsbury

This one-day course explores positive ways to revitalise life at work, improve channels of communication, build resilience and begin to create a more supportive working environment. The simulated scenarios used in the training have been developed based on interviews with teams working on the wards of GSTT. Lunch and refreshments provided throughout the day.The training course is open to Medical / Nursing / AHP / Nursing Assistants / Clerical Staff at all levels and across specialities working at Guy's and St. Thomas' Trust.This course is free to attend but you must be a member of staff at GSTT.
