Taking Shape

spacetocreate was co-founded in 2007 by Pip Lewis and Guy Norman to improve access and widen participation in the visual arts, primarily in Pembrokeshire.Under the creative leadership of its founders, spacetocreate collaborates with artists and musicians, film-makers and photographers, designers and animators, teachers, youth workers, architects and poets, to design, deliver and produce one-off projects and longer term programmes, which contribute to individual and community well-being.Over the last ten years we have built a reputation for high quality, imaginative, participatory projects that connect people of all ages and abilities with the visual arts. We focus on working with people who do not routinely have opportunities to get involved with the Arts, including children, young people and vulnerable or hard-to-reach groups in the community.Our work brings people together, encouraging equality and belonging through a shared experience of participation as well as providing opportunities to try out new experiences, learn new skills, explore the creative process and build confidence and self esteem.

Pottery with Agata Hall
In this ceramic workshop Agata will guide you through the process of making your own animal, working with basic clay techniques including hand building, modelling, coiling, pinching or slab work. 
Be inspired by the animals in the current exhibtion created by Tim Williams at spacetocreate, which highlights the plight of endangered species, or make an animal of your choice. 
The workshop is for adults, and suitable for both beginners and those with some previous experience, 
The price is inclusive of clay, underglaze and firing.
