Event description

Description

Disability Wales (DW) is carrying out some work for Victim Support Cymru which receives Welsh Government funding to run the National Hate Crime Report and Support Centre Wales. They want to make sure that their service is accessible to disabled people and provides the right kind of support to people who experience hate crime. They have asked DW to help them with this.

In partnership with Bridgend Coalition of Disabled People, we are holding a meeting at 2pm until 4pm on Thursday 5th October 2017 at St Johns Ambulance, Minerva St, Bridgend to hear your views about disability hate crime and the support and services available to people who experience it.

Following the meeting, we will write up key points from the discussion into a report with recommendations for Victim Support Cymru. We will respect confidentiality at all times. Names of people who take part in the group will not be mentioned in the report or passed on to Victim Support Cymru or any other organisation without your permission.

We do hope you will be able to take part in the meeting and help us tackle the serious issue of Disability Hate Crime. Please let us know about any access or support requirements you have so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
