About this event

Welcome to Tapestry: The Dance of Connection! Join us at The Tabernacle for an evening of music, dance, and community.

Our lives are made up of countless moments—some significant, some small, some cherished, and others forgotten. Together, they weave a tapestry of our personal and shared experiences. In this showcase, we discover how dance connects us, reflecting key moments of love, loss, friendship, and community.

Enjoy a unique evening of storytelling through movement and performing arts, featuring renowned Brazilian belly dancer Esmeralda Colabone and some of the UK's most engaging dancers. The evening will unfold through four visual vignettes, each exploring how we connect with family, loved ones, our community, and ourselves. As with life, these connections are not always as simple or straightforward as they seem.

What's the inspiration behind the show?

The show is inspired by a lifelong love of dance and storytelling. It brings together diverse styles I’ve studied over the years, and is dedicated to my mother (and all mothers!) who’ve nurtured creativity and the arts in our lives.

What should I expect at the show?

Expect an evening of movement, meaning, and emotion: where dance meets storytelling. With touches of poetry, visual artistry, and heartfelt choreography, each piece invites you to reflect on connection, memory, and the beauty of shared experience.
