Bell House is a volunteer led charity that provides creative learning for people of all ages and backgrounds. Our vision is to offer an opportunity to gather for learning, enjoyment and friendship in a special place.

Bell House

This beginners’ class is for anyone who would like to pick up a bobbin and try tapestry weaving. It’s the perfect session if you have always wanted to have a go – no experience necessary. Learn how to weave simple and effective geometric shapes, prepare threads and change colours. By the end of the session, you&#x27;ll have made your own small tapestry to take home. This will be a small group and should be lots of fun as we experiment with shapes and techniques. All weaving materials and instruction are included and a table frame will be prepared for you to use. You might like to bring paper and pen for any notes.

A﻿bout the Group LeaderBridget Lane is an award-winning tapestry weaver. Her colourful contemporary pieces are often based on the urban and the everyday, a response to the seemingly mundane. Her work has been shown in exhibitions in the UK and Australia.
