Tarot: Back to Basics Workshop
A hands-on workshop on how to prepare your deck, ask clear questions, read spreads, and apply readings to daily life. No experience needed!
Do you feel unsure what questions to ask your cards, and how often you should be reading? Or whether your interpretations make sense or if you're getting it right?
With so much information out there, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or disconnected from your deck!
This workshop breaks tarot down into simple, practical steps to help you get started (or start again). It’s designed for beginners and for those who feel out of practice and want to reconnect with their cards in a grounded way.
There’s no memorisation required and no prior knowledge needed!
This is about learning how to work with your deck in a way that feels supportive and sustainable.
We'll cover:
- How to prepare, shuffle, cleanse, and store your cards
- How often to read, including a simple weekly practice to build consistency
- How to ask clear questions and create appropriate spreads
- The basics of reading and applying a spread to your life
- How to start reading your cards (without relying on memorised meanings)
- A guided practice session focused on reading, not guidebooks
Please note: this workshop won’t cover the suits in depth. If you’d like to explore those, Tarot 101 will be running on April 4th & October 24th.
You’ll leave with a strong foundation for your practice, confidence in your reading ability and a clear place to continue from.
Hope to see you there ✨

Testimonials from previous workshops:
"The Tarot 101 workshop with Jess was amazing, she was passionate about the art, explained and shared her wisdom in a lovely open way. It was a great space to learn and explore and I would recommend it to anyone. It was a warm group, who asked questions in a safe space. I learnt so much and the handout was perfect to practice afterwards and develop my understanding and skills."
"Jess has such a magical, yet grounded way to share her knowledge. Being a part of the workshop felt special and I thoroughly enjoyed it all - the setting, the company, the content, and the teacher, of course, who cares deeply about the subject and is excited to share the message!"
"An amazing relaxed workshop highly recommended for anyone interested in Tarot at any level. Jess explains the cards in depth and gives pointers I’d never picked up on before that have added extra depth and connections to my readings. I can’t wait for the next workshop!!"
