Course Content/Objectives

 A step-by-step, hands-on approach to learn more about the new application across all our City schools – Read&Write by Texthelp. This software can be accessed by all staff and pupils both in school and at home.

Read&Write lets everyone read, write and express themselves more confidently. Read more here:

This session has a specific focus on Read&Write for Windows devices. Offering additional tools than the chrome toolbar, the windows application offers a complete literacy solution for pupils with literacy difficulties.


Outcomes sought

  • Learn how to use accessibility tools including text-to-speech, word prediction and dictionary tools to support learners
  • Use study skills tools and productivity features to organise work
  • Become confident in all aspects of the Read&Write for Windows application
