George Abbot and South Farnham SCITT has a strong history of providing exceptional school based Initial Teacher Training (ITT).  Since 2001 we have trained over 500 teachers many of whom are now in positions of responsibility.  Our graduates are highly sought after by local schools and we support our trainees to make informed choices about their first teaching post and future career.Teacher Training leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and trainees have the option to study for a PGCE at Masters level in conjunction with Kingston University, as well as the chance to specialise in Special Educational Needs.You could train with us to become a primary or secondary teacher on a full-time basis or part-time is available for shortage secondary subjects in a training placement.  For more information, please visit our website:www.georgeabbottraining.co.ukorwww.ssfscitt.org.uk.

This online session is for anyone who is considering a career in teaching, based in Surrey or surrounding counties.Our SCITT team will lead an interactive presentation that covers:<ul><li>the difference between the training routes</li></ul><ul><li>the day to day life of a trainee teacher in one of our placement schools</li></ul><ul><li>the support you will receive from us to help you become the best teacher you can be</li></ul><ul><li>what makes George Abbot and South Farnham SCITT an Ofsted Outstanding training provider and how this can make a difference to your training experience</li></ul><ul><li>the qualifications, skills and attributes we are looking for in successful applicants</li></ul><ul><li>tips on making your personal statement stand out from the crowd</li></ul><ul><li>the financial support you may be eligible for</li></ul>We will be happy to answer any questions you have about teacher training or the application process, or how these might work with your own personal circumstances.This is a free event for which registration is required. The event will be held online via Zoom and further details and joining instructions will be provided to all those registered at least 24 hours prior to the event.
