In 2003, Yaroslav Sergeyev has introduced a new numerical symbol called 'grossone' that counts the elements of the set N of natural numbers and can be used to carry out calculations in the familiar way. Using grossone it is possible to develop a simpler and more powerful approach to solving core problems in the Mathematics A-level curriculum (for example, carrying out arithmetical calculations, finding derivatives, computing the sums of infinite series, even when they classically diverge) and to build stronger intuitions about the concept of infinity, since it allows one to compute the solutions of several paradoxes of infinity. This conference is devoted both to presenting innovative teaching materials that allow students to use and apply Sergeyev's ideas and to open a dialogue with mathematics teachers on the best ways of using and developing them to support student learning.
