PROGRAMME  
Aims: This event is designed to support the teaching of text-based programming in school, at Key Stage 3 and/or GCSE Computing. To get the most benefit from attending, it is recommended that those attending are familiar with basic input/output Python functions, string and integer types and random module as described in the first 4 chapters of this book: <A HREF="http://inventwithpython.com/chapters/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://inventwithpython.com/chapters/</A> 
The event will follow a hands-on, project-based approach where attendees will work in small groups to develop a coded solution to a problem in a similar style to the event described here: <A HREF="http://exa.im/codingdojo" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://exa.im/codingdojo</A> It is hoped that those attending will observe and experience teaching strategies that they can use in their own setting.
