The Health Foundation has launched an exciting new £2m programme ('Tech for Better Care') which will explore the potential for using technology to enable care at home and in the community.

The programme will support up to six teams from across the UK to develop, test and pilot care that has the potential to be tech-enabled, and that focuses on the caring and enabling relationships needed between those who deliver and those who receive care, and that is proactive in supporting people to live a better and more independent life where possible.

There is £30k of funding and support for teams to initially explore and develop their ideas, with a further £1.5m in total available for the most promising ideas to be tested and piloted.

Care providers responsible for delivering care at home, in a residential setting or in the community are invited to apply, and can be NHS organisations, community interest companies, social enterprises, local authorities or independent private providers.

To support potential applicants, we are holding an information call from 15:00 - 16:00 on Wednesday 31 May 2023.

We would like participants to submit questions in advance to help us to prepare for the call. Please email your questions to ImprovementProgrammes@health.org.uk by 12:00 (midday) on Monday 29 May 2023.

Depending on the number of participants, we hope to allow time for live Q&A during the session.
