Are you an early startup with ambitions to grow quickly (pre - or post incorporation)?
Are you a more mature SME, seeking direction?
Are you searching for investment and growth readiness support?
UCL and Capital Enterprise has joined forces to run a one-day workshop for London’s CASTS (Capital Accelerate and Scale Tech Superstars) programme. Focused on aspiring London tech companies, CASTS helps tech companies or companies with tech functions to scale and grow rapidly.
 
Applications are now being taken for bespoke 1-day strategic workshops, centred on your unique business challenges.
Over the course of 8 hours, 2 expert consultants will guide small groups through:
1) An assessment of your business stage, mapped against where you want to be in a specific timeframe 2) Developing an investment readiness plan 3) Developing a growth readiness plan
Through the course of this programme, you will be able to:

Understand what is unique about your business and build your business model around it
</LI>
<LI>
Understand your competition and act on early signs that you need to pivot
</LI>
<LI>
Develop a compelling product/service message and architecture and an aligned operational plan 
</LI>
<LI>
Assess your operations, promotions and resources as you ramp up and create a team and operations practices that grow iteratively
</LI>
<LI>
Understand when to subcontract and when to hire
</LI>
<LI>
Plan for financial success and understand the key pitfalls in surviving years 1-2
</LI>
<LI>
Plan for future growth and avoid growing too quickly
</LI>
<LI>
Get investor ready – understand your investment readiness gaps and what investors are really looking for in your sector
</LI>
</UL>
The workshop applies proven methodology to accelerate effective development of start-up teams, covering fundamental principles whilst facilitating actionable outputs for the participants. The needs of each start-up will be unique and participants are encouraged to also offer peer to peer support where they have experienced successes.
 
Dates:
September 19th  October 4th October 25th December 5th
 
The sessions will be held from 9am – 5pm at IDEALondon, 69 Wilson Street, EC1A 2BB.

The workshop is offered through the CASTS programme, supporting tech startups in London to scale and grow.

CASTS is a project part funded by the European Regional Development fund. The programme expands the provision of London’s high quality accelerator programmes in order to generate more innovative tech in London.
 
CASTS will enable London to create and nurture 600 potential world-beating tech companies that collectively will raise over £30M in private investment and create over 450 new high value jobs.
