What is Teesside Hackspace?

Teesside Hackspace is a non-profit community workshop and creative playground, dedicated to anyone with a passion for making things. We are a vibrant hub where technology, DIY projects, and artistry collide. Our space provides members with access to an incredible range of tools and resources—from state-of-the-art 3D printers and laser cutters to traditional woodworking and metalworking equipment, all under one roof.

A Community of Makers

At the heart of our space is our diverse and welcoming community. We are artists, engineers, students, hobbyists, entrepreneurs, and retirees, all united by a common curiosity. Whether you're an absolute beginner eager to learn your first skill or an expert looking to collaborate on a complex project, you'll find a supportive and inclusive environment here. We believe in learning by doing, sharing knowledge freely, and celebrating experimentation—successes and failures alike!

Our Mission: To Empower Creation

Our primary mission is to break down the barriers between ideas and reality. We provide the essential space, tools, and collaborative atmosphere that individuals need to:

  • Learn Hands-On: Move beyond theory and gain practical, real-world skills.
  • Share Knowledge: Ask questions, offer expertise, and learn from the experiences of others.
  • Build Anything: From a simple birdhouse to a complex robot, our resources are here to help you build it
  • Innovate and Collaborate: Work alongside other creative minds to bring ambitious projects to life.

If you have a project you’ve always wanted to start, a skill you’re itching to learn, or are simply curious to see what’s possible when creativity and community come together, Teesside Hackspace is the place for you.

Come take a tour, meet our members, and discover your inner maker.
