Event description
Join Brian Clegg as he explores how patterns offer clues to the fundamental workings of the physical world

About this event

Our universe might appear chaotic, but deep down it's simply a myriad of rules working independently to create patterns of action, force, and consequence.

In this talk Brian Clegg will explore the phenomena that make up the very fabric of our world by examining ten essential sequenced systems. From diagrams that show the deep relationships between space and time to the quantum behaviours that rule the way that matter and light interact, Brian will show how these patterns provide a unique view of the physical world and its fundamental workings.

Copies of Brian's book, 'Ten Patterns That Explain the Universe', are available from amazon and all good bookshops.

By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Ri's event terms and conditions.
