In part 1, he will look at when (and when not) the right might be exercised under a contract expressly providing for such termination. He will consider what events usually give rise to the right to terminate. How the right is properly exercised. The consequences if termination is either unjustified, or the right is not properly exercised in form or substance. How delay, or approbation, might affect the right. What is the distinction between terminating ‘the contract’ and ‘terminating the contractor’s employment under the contract?
