PlayDates: The Workshop Edition
PlayDates is back with a new series of R&D style workshops!
We are giving a space to emerging directors, writers and actors to explore, collaborate and play together in a safe and supported environment.
We have 6 wonderful directors at the beginning of their careers, each tasked with running a 3hr workshop with the aim of developing two pieces of writing (from our lovely new writers!).
Our workshops will give actors a space to work on their craft, get stuck in to new pieces of text, and collaborate within a room of creatives. We want actors to feel like they can actually leave the room having grown and played. The environment will be very low-pressure; actors will never be asked to learn anything ahead of the sessions and there will always be content warnings offered alongside the texts with no expectation for the actors to perform (you can always stick to one of the scenes and not the other etc).
We are ecstatic to announce that this workshop will be run by the babALICIOUS, Lily Grace James.
Our phenomenal writers for the evening will be Bobby Jean Henning and Libby Boyd.
