Thames Con is back for it's third year!
We are so excited to announce that Thames Con in 2020 will be a 2 day event on the 18th & 19th April, at the absolutely stunning Oxford Town Hall.
The Event
Thames Con is a variety convention with many themes, from TV & Film to Art, Media, comedy and more! We have special celebrity guests, a great selection of traders, retro gaming, cosplay competitions, workshops, kids activities, displays, talks and plenty more to keep you and the family entertained for the whole weekend.
Every year we have a different theme, the theme for 2020 is fantasy and magic. So expect guests, workshops and displays to match!
The Venue
Opened by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales on 12 May 1897, Oxford Town Hall is a Victorian Grade II* listed building. It is located right in the heart of Oxford and is the home to the Museum of Oxford.
The Town Hall has seen the likes of the Rolling Stones and David Bowie take to its stage and Nelson Mandela accept his Freedom of the City Award. In addition, it is a popular film location and can be seen in scenes of Inspector Morse, A Fish Called Wanda and The Riot Club.
