Update News is an online news service which aims to provide reliable and accurate news to young people through social media. ​It is run by a team entirely made up of passionate and dedicated teenagers. We are based in London, where the majority of the news will come from however at points we will be reporting from different locations around the UK and even the world. ​ We always utilise new technology so will be live reporting on our Facebook and Twitter pages from our studios and from the scene of breaking stories.

Update News

Update News is hosting an exclusive debate between the General Election candidates for Erith and Thamesmead constituency.
The candidates will answer questions and debate issues in front of a live studio audience made up of a range of people from across the area. 
The one hour show will see the candidates discuss not only the big political matters, but what matters to the local community, particularly to young people. This will be filmed at The Link Thamesmead in partnership with Peabody's Young Leaders scheme. Anybody is welcome to join the studio audience and entry is free.
It will be hosted by Update News Editor Jamie Moreland and the debate will be broadcast on Update News on Monday 5th June at 7PM. You can join the conversation on social media with #ThamesmeadDebate
