The Backdater – Live Performance
Johnstone Town Hall | Monday 23rd December 2025
In partnership with Abbeycare Scotland & St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation

Join us for a powerful, funny and deeply human live performance of The Backdater - a new play following Gydo and Spammy, two pals caught up in the chaos of addition and a lifetime of challenges, resilience and recovery.

This special event highlights the creative work emerging from the Abbeycare Buddies weekly sessions, where participants have been building confidence through drama, storytelling and peer support.

We will also be joined by the incredible Voice of the Town choir for a live musical performance that brings music, emotion and energy to the evening.

🎭 Real stories.
🎶 Real voices.
💬 Real recovery.

Come along, support local talent, and experience a night of humour, hope and community spirit in the lead-up to Christmas.

All money raised from this perfomance will be donated to St Mirren FC Charitable Foundations 2025 Festive Buddie Christmas Appeal
