Friends of the Calder, South Lanarkshire Countryside Rangers and Bonnie Blantyre are delighted to bring back, 'The Big Easter Egg Hunt' to our bonnie woods at Milheugh on April 16th at 12:00pm until 14:00pm. Join us for some egg-cellent fun.The Easter egg hunt will run for the full two hours – you must book a time slot - we don't want any unhappy little bunnies if we dont have any eggs for them!We've also got a design your own Easter Egg craft for the kiddies with the chance to win some chocolate eggs for the top designs! There will be some river dipping sessions going on with the wonderful South Lanarkshire Countryside Rangers, limited places available and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Important things to note:- There is no parking at Milheugh, so if travelling by car, people will need to park nearby and walk down to the woods. For those of you not familiar with the area, you can access the woods either at the Hunthill Road entrance, at the back High Blantyre Primary School or by walking down Pech Brae, across from the Hoolets pub. - The event is catered for young children, so it's perfect for those aged 11 and under.- We are passionate about keeping our woods litter free, so please do bring a picnic and make the most of your time in the woods, but we ask that you take all your rubbish away with you.This is going to be a smashing day for all the family - see you then!
