A shindig is a lively Scottish social gathering usually involving music and definitely involving lots of fun!
What's a ceilidh?
A ceilidh involves performing specific dance routines to traditional Scottish music. No previous dance experience or skills are needed as our live band will teach you all the steps for you to celebrate in Scottish style!
About the event
Get ready for an evening of great live music, dancing, and socialising and celebrations! Hosted by the School’s Student Experience Forum (STEF) at the GUU, this free event is a fantastic chance to celebrate the end of the academic year in Scottish style! Whether you're a seasoned ceilidh-goer or a first-timer, this is the perfect opportunity to come together with friends and classmates and celebrate the vibrant culture of Scotland.
We will be joined by our live band, The Jiggers, who will lead you through all of the dances, and you can enjoy a buffet* and two drinks tokens.
This event is brought to you by the School’s Student Experience Forum (STEF) which aims to build a strong student-staff community, enhance the student experience, and supports our subject student societies.

Tickets
Tickets cost £2 and are available on a first come, first served basis for SPS students only- make sure to register to secure your booking.
Tickets can be purchased by Sunday 11 May. Refunds will not be issued after this date. If you cancel your ticket prior to 11 May, please note that Eventbrite ticket fees will not be refunded.
