The Big Spring Table
Woodfired Canteen are cooking up three tasty courses to mark the turning of the spring season.
Come hungry and enjoy big plates under the old Cornish beams of Pengenna Manor. Made even more memorable by Event experts Out of the Ordinary who are in charge of the decor! Woodfired Canteen will cook with fire and smoke and serve a three course seasonally inspired menu so you can make time to talk with family and friends. You'll have the chance to meet Woodfired Canteen's Event chef Ben Green and pick up some tips for your own home cooking as well as explore the nature and history of Pengenna Manor. The menu is below and children are welcome.
To start
- Burnt sweet potato butter, flatbread from the fire, pickled radish, dukkah
Main
- Slow smoked shoulder of lamb, oregano salsa verde and pangrattata
OR
- Woodroasted squash wild garlic salsa verde and pangrattata (for non meat eaters)
Sides
- Canteen roasties, gremolata
- Charred gem lettuce, spring peas, garlicky mayonnaise, radish tops and crispy onions
- Roasted carrots and fennel seeds, agro dolce onions, pickled chilli
Pudding
- Dark chocolate and olive oil cake, honeycomb and sumac raspberries
