I can't find a conservative club on Carr Lane?

It's the Carr Lane Club. It hasn't been a conservative club for years, however Eventbrite looks to be struggling to catch up.

Beginners are more than welcome. The group is supportive and encouraging.

Is it still a conservative club?

No, it hasn't been a conservative club for years, however it costs a couple of thousand quid to update all the legal documents, and there's always something more pressing to spend the money on.

Why is it 18+?

Accepted Answer

The Carr Lane is a private member's club with a licensed bar. If you wish to keep coming (and hopefully you will) you'll be asked to join as a member. It's currently £12 a year if you're under 60, £6 60 or over. That gets you a door card and a discount at the bar.

What should I bring?

Yourself, maybe a few pounds for the hat, and a positive attitude.
