You're invited!The School of Culture &amp; Creative Arts and Theatre Studies are delighted to welcome you to our annual summer showcase of new playwriting work at the James Arnott Theatre, Gilmorehill Halls.The event will feature new work by 5 emerging playwrights from the University of Glasgow's MLitt Playwriting &amp; Dramaturgy programme. It will be curated and directed by Director and Dramaturg, Philip Howard, and feature professional actors. When? Thu 26 June 2025, 7pm Where? James Arnott Theatre, Gilmorehill Halls, 9 University Avenue, G12 8QQ All welcome. Tickets are free. Book now before they 'sell out'!Presenting excerpts from the plays of: <ul><li>Sophie Pass - Debridement</li><li>Chris Kane - The Bedroom</li><li>Kilda Kennedy - The Bigger Picture</li><li>Katy-Valentine Willcocks - Christmas Dinner</li><li>Matthew Taylor - Eggshells</li></ul> The performances will be followed by networking and refreshments in Gilmorehill Halls. Content guidance The plays feature: depictions of severe mental illness, gender-based violence, threat of sexual violence, self-harm (The Bigger Picture); references to the death of a parent/sibling (Debridement); abusive language and behaviour, scenes of a sexual nature, references to alcoholism (Eggshells).
