The Bright Shiners

Jon Langford and the Bright Shiners is a new project from the Newport born artist and musician Jon Langford - He’s a Mekon, a Three John, a Waco Brother and now a Bright Shiner. Their debut album WHERE IT REALLY STARTS is released by the US based band this spring on TINY GLOBAL PRODUCTIONS (Nightingales, House of All). It’s a delightfully off kilter collection of tunes that find Langford’s ever more skeptical lyrics floating on a salty sonic sea of Mellotron, violin and acoustic guitars. The Bright Shiners is a four piece featuring Alice Spencer (Barkers, Shinyribs) on joint lead vocals and Mellotron, John Szymanski (Four Lost Souls) on vocals and guitar and Tamineh Gueramy a deputy Mekon on violin and vocals.
