Led by the Institution of Structural Engineers, the session will cover the UK-wide Building Safety Act framework, including duty-holder roles, competence requirements, and the Golden Thread of information.

The event will also include a Northern Ireland perspective, exploring how the emerging residential building safety regime differs from England, including proposed scope thresholds, regulatory oversight, and implementation through the ongoing co-design process.

The session is intended to support engineers in understanding both current expectations and the direction of travel for building safety regulation.
