WELCOME TO THE BURROWS EXPERIENCE
A WW2 military vehicle experience across Braunton Burrows, delivered in partnership with the Friends of the Assault Training Centre.

Climb aboard and step back in time on a guided, educational journey across Braunton Burrows. Explore the historic D-Day training grounds by authentic military vehicle and experience this remarkable landscape in a truly unique way.

Led by experts from the Friends of the Assault Training Centre, each tour brings the history of the Burrows to life, offering fascinating insight into its role in preparing troops for D-Day. A 4-hour (approx) guided experience including multiple stops across the Burrows.

Along the way, you’ll explore:

• Concrete landing craft
• A Matilda tank
• Pill boxes across the dunes

This is a rare opportunity to experience a protected landscape from the seat of an authentic military vehicle - something few people ever get to do.

Please arrive at Sandy Lane Car Park, Braunton, in time for a 10am departure.
The experience lasts approximately 4 hours. Please bring a packed lunch, drink, and a coat/suncream as weather dictates.

Please note:
Whilst we will always do our best to accommodate group bookings on the same vehicle, groups may be split. This experience involves accessing military vehicles and uneven terrain
Suitable for ages 12+. An adult must accompany all under 18s. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.
